To Build Confidence in your Child
This the sequence to Shy Baby!
Try the following tips to build confidence in your child, while avoiding things that you should not do. These will come in handy even if your child is an extrovert (opposite of introvert), but lacks the confidence.
- Never compare your child to another child or that child's performance, no matter how good you feel the other child is!
- Never punish your child for not performing in public.
- Never question your child's ability to do things by him/herself. Keep an eye on your child if you are worried but do not keep telling him/her that s/he cannot do it by themselves.
- Encourage your child to do things without help (of course when s/he is old enough to handle it) .
- Take your child's help. This will make your child feel important and make him/her feel good.
- Always encourage your child. Encourage him/her to try by him/herself. This improves self-esteem and self-belief in your child. And once again, do not keep telling your child that s/he cannot do it.
